Richard Hammar, JD, LLM, CPA

Richard is an attorney, CPA, and best-selling author specializing in legal and tax issues for churches and clergy. A graduate of Harvard Law School, he is the author of more than 100 books. He co-founded, with Cambridge University in England, an international program in risk management, and has taught continuing education classes at Cambridge. He was named one of the 50 Most Influential Christians in America by The Church Report magazine.

Jerry is a Certified Risk Manager and Certified Insurance Counselor. He has worked with a wide range of commercial insurance in his 35+ years in the industry, but his area of passion and expertise is religious and non-profit insurance. Before joining AGFinancial Insurance Solutions in 2007, Jerry was president of the Springfield, Missouri branch of Arthur J. Gallagher, the third largest insurance broker in the U.S. His heart for ministry, combined with his years of experience, have set him apart as a leading expert in the field of insurance and risk management.
